Since 1995, she has annually held an exhibition of oil paintings in October as a professional painter. Actually, she earns her living by paintings. She is well-known for her paintings of cats. In 1980, she ran over a stray cat by accident. Since then, she has saved many stray cats and dogs. She now takes care of 160 cats and 20 dogs. Like Brigitte Bardot of France, Yasuko Nagamine is a forerunner of animal welfare in this country. |
